HSE Policy

HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT (HSE)

One of our top priorities is to protect the environment and the health and safety of the people who work for us and use our products. The effective management of health and safety and protection of the environment are integral to our business success and determines our license to operate.

Everyone at maxEEma is accountable for health, safety and environment (HSE) and we work hard to foster a caring culture wherever we operate. The strategic direction of our well-established, global HSE management system set by the maxEEma Executive Committee, the company's top management group. Our line managers are responsible for implementing policy. We set targets and report on our performance.

HSE standards and priorities are established at group level and implemented locally. Annual performance data from facilities are reviewed by regional and global management. The results are used to evaluate performance and set priorities, objectives and targets for the following year.

Our HSE strategic agenda sets out our approach to improve HSE performance. It builds on the progress made since our initial HSE roadmap. During this time, we have developed core HSE systems. These include, HSE policy and commitments, HSE management systems, auditing and assurance processes, and a reporting mechanism to communicate performance. Progress against local targets will be measured as part of the annual review of maxEEma HSE performance.
